Hello everyone I am a newbie and about to order 5 fusion 8's with the assembled crossovers and flatpacks. Just built my first DIY sub and I like what I am hearing. My question is how much do the fusions weigh when all is constructed as I will be mounting these to the walls with brackets. Does anyone have any recommendations for brackets? Thank you.
I haven't actually weighed them, but I'd say around 20lbs each. If you want them flat on the wall these would work well: http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=108&cp_id=10828&cs_id=1082802&p_id=3613&seq=1&format=2 I've used them for monitors before and they could easily be adapted to be a speaker mount. There are other similar types that also tilt forward if you need one that does that. You might also look into just doing a french cleat if that suits your needs. Edit: Just checked and the shipping weight for two of them according to fedex was 48lbs, so figure ~25lbs for each speaker.
