After I get all my pics sorted out, I'll post up a build-thread over at AVS. But thought you guys might like to see the completed build I did for my cousin. The in-wall cabinet was done by his contractors. The speaker enclosures were built and installed by myself. Stock crossover BSC. Kept the dimensions of the enclosures 95% of stock dimensions. Interior volume is the same. The large black box at the bottom-left of the custom in-wall cabinet is actually a "re-designed/folded/modified THT" build measuring 52Wx28Dx17.5H, housing a 12" TC Sounds Epic 12. ~14 cubic feet hiding inside that in-wall cabinet. Yes, I know. The speakers are WAY too high. But the WAF was stretched waaaay to the limit just to allow us to build these speakers. And this way, she can put pictures & knick-knocks under the speakers still. I only got to listen for about thirty minutes before I had to head home. Sounded fantastic though.
Nice job! I don 't consider the speakers too high. When I go to a concert hall or outdoor event, I look up at the stage at about the same angle. You put the SEOS horns on the bottom which is also good. With the woofer flush mounted on the wall, there will probably be some "thickness" in the midrange that will need compensation in the Xover or EQ in the home theater system. Nice job!
