Here are some file downloads I put up on the Liberty Instruments' server for testing loudspeakers, DIY or commercial. Some fun stuff. ---- A square-wave sweep, for checking "transient perfect" operation, if that's something you're designing for. You'll have to have a microphone and an oscilloscope capable of triggering on a level/edge: http://libinst.com/SynergyCalc/squarewave%20sweep.wav. Play it from your soundcard or media player. An example on YouTube (my own Cosyne): http://youtu.be/YVOM7GMkg28 ---- The Tom Danley audio demo files (posted with Tom's permission). These are very high dynamic range natural recordings (made with a new microphone technique that Tom is working on). I converted the WAV audio files to FLAC to reduce download times. Most media players can play FLAC directly; but if yours doesn't, you can convert from FLAC back to WAV using FreAc http://download.cnet.com/fre:ac/3000-2140_4-10550755.html?part=dl-6284282&subj=dl&tag=button or FreeStudio http://download.dvdvideosoft.com/downloadSource/FreeStudio.exe or other converters. (AS ALWAYS WITH FREE DOWNLOADED PROGRAMS, LOOK CAREFULLY DURING THE INSTALLATION PROCESSES FOR THE CHECKBOXES TO DISALLOW THEM FROM INSTALLING NONSENSE LIKE TOOLBARS OR UNWANTED APPLICATIONS!) The audio files themselves: http://www.libinst.com/Danley/the%20recordings%20.txt : Tom's text... and a warning about volume and dynamic range! Watch those subwoofers, these files can get make them move. That said, the files are best played LOUD, but don't set the volume based on how the background levels sound.... go slow. http://www.libinst.com/Danley/Donny%27s%20Harley.flac http://www.libinst.com/Danley/TrainStart.flac http://www.libinst.com/Danley/fireworks%202013%20last%206%20min%20cd.flac http://www.libinst.com/Danley/Johns%20bbq%20Track%2002.flac http://www.libinst.com/Danley/Johns%20bbqTrack%2004.flac http://www.libinst.com/Danley/parade%20section2.flac http://www.libinst.com/Danley/parade%20section3.flac http://www.libinst.com/Danley/parade%20section4.flac http://www.libinst.com/Danley/parade%20section5.flac
THANK YOU for this. I have been wondering if there would be a proper version of the FW track released, since the clipping was found. JSS
